Investigation on Perceptions of Optometrists on Policyization of Glasses Online Sale

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : This study is to analyze the perception of optometrists according to ’policyization on glasses online sale’ and to be utilized it as basic data for preparing responses to changes in the glasses market in the future.
Methods : The subjects of this study were optometrists who currently operate an optical shops from August 13 to August 17, 2021, and an online survey was conducted through Google Survey, and a total of 1,040 responses were used as analysis data. Cross analysis, independent sample t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were performed to compare and analyze the differences in the operation of opticians based on the demographic variables of optometrists.
Results : As a result of analyzing the perception on the effect of policyization on glasses online sale on the operation of the optical shop, a negative position on the operation of the optical shop was confirmed. Policyization on glasses online sale was analyzed using a 5-point Likert scale for questions asking about the effect on major items handled by the optometrists, monthly orders, annual sales, and workforce. I thought I would get a lot. As a result of analyzing the difference in the effects of optical shop’s major items handled, monthly orders, annual sales, and employed manpower according to demographic variables, statistically significant differences were found in major items handled, annual sales, and employed manpower.
Conclusion : Implications for policyization on glasses online sale could be derived through this study, and it would be applied as basic data to revise the policy direction of the government in the future based on the problems related to policyization on glasses online sale recognized by optometrists in practice. And, it can be academically suggested as a strategy for the optical industry regarding policyization on glasses online sale.
